📍trailhead
Not technically a “hike” as most of this is roadway, but there are nice views to be had at Oksangeum Fortress at the top of Dongsan, so I would still recommend it if you’re looking to get out for an uphill walk.
The “trailhead” starts next to Sejinam Hermitage. This is a very pretty little collection of temple buildings so it is a nice spot to start your hike. After checking out the temple buildings, turn right at the bathrooms and follow the steep road up and around the hill.
Along the way, there will be two different junctions. At the first junction, turn left. (The other direction will lead you towards Gyeryongsan). The second intersection has some pensions to the right, continue on straight following the road as it curves up and around the rear of Dongsan.
At the top, you’ll find lots of grass, a gazebo, and a rocky outcrop with a great view of Geoje-myeon!
This is a perfect hike for a great picnic destination.
